Form Help - Email not sending

I'm pretty new to working with concrete5/coding in general and am having trouble figuring out how to set up a form to send an email.

I have checked the option for emails to be sent with the submission info but when I submit a test form I do not get the email.

Are there any other steps that I need to take?

First go to dashboard/system/mail/addresses and at least set your default from name and address.
If it still does not send go to dashboard/system/mail/method and setup your external smtp server, you can test your settings (bottom left corner of the screen)
