Installed but error after getting username and pw

Hiya

Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied in /home/saveitfo/public_html/concrete/libraries/3rdparty/adodb/adodb.inc.php on line 1703

I get that message in the browser once i click "continue to site".

I tried changing permissions of the two files in bold but didn't change!
Tried a fresh install too but no change.

but when i go to logon it says along the top

and then in red above log in form it says

mysql error: [-32000: Cache write error] in CacheExecute(/home/saveitfo/public_html/files/cache/06/adodb_066687d354c859df0db480ff1fa62f23.cache, select ctID from PageTypes)
