Issues with designer Portfolio add on (no Support) Help Needed!

Hi,
I have purchased the Designer Portfolio Addon to build into a new site but I cant get the add on working properly. The size setting for thumbnail image size & lightbox image width do not have any effect. Also the lightbox image border gets cropped at the bottom edge and right hand edge so the next/prev & close controls are not visible.

Since I haven't had a reply from the developer how do I start to trouble shoot this?
I have also noticed that on the developer page it states version 1.4 but my changelog reads 1.0 initial release. I am using Concrete 5.6.3.3

I have just tried it with the Plain Yogurt Theme and it works. I am using Treviso by c5mix. I will see if Chris can help.
The display issue using the theme has been solved by the theme developer but the thumbnail resizing issue remains. Is there anyone with image gallery experience who might be able to help. The developer windhack is not responding.
