Issues getting Home page to load

Ok, I'm new to C5 so I could be completely missing something, but I'm having issues getting my home page to load correctly... Currently, just going straight to the website URL gives me a blank page. No errors, no anything, just blank.. Right now to access the site, you have to add the /index.php manually.. How do I make it automatically load the index file when going to the main URL? Also, it doesn't seem to want to allow me to add image HTML tags into the content block, but for my navigation sidebar, I need to add an image of a specific size with a link/button next to the thumbnail and the only way I can see to do that the way I want to is to use HTML...

Thanks for your help,
Malel Draconis

sounds like a server configuration issue. have you explored pretty URL's and the .htaccess code it provides in the dashboard?

Um... like I said, I'm really really new to C5, and aside from that not very familiar with PHP either. In other words... no, I haven't tried that as I have no clue what you're talking about..

Ok, so I figured out what you were talking about and copied the code supplied by the prettyURLs function on the dashboard into my .htaccess file, however, it's still only displaying a blank page.

Does anyone know why it's doing this? this website needed to be up about a week ago, and I'm really completely lost as to why it won't work... Any other ideas floating around out there?

i'm afraid you're not giving the community much to work with here. How about posting some URLs so someone could look?

If you were hosting with us it'd be a lot easier to explore what was going on - but there's really not much anyone could do with what you've said here so far.
