Just starting with c5- will I be able to implement c5 to an existing website?

Hi. I have a client that wants a CMS to their existing website i designed for them and have come across c5. Will c5 allow this to happen for this website?http://www.maorisids.org.nz/
As i have watched the demo videos, all I assume i need to do is add allowable editing sections using php code and it should be all good to go. in particular, will the drop down menu be affected negatively?
