Multiple autonavs
PermalinkFirst post and first site with Concrete so I know I'm going to just ask loads of dumb questions and make you all grown.
I'm building a site for a client and it is to have 3 levels of nav:
1. Main Nav. This is fixed and will not change so does not need to be editable or be able to be added to. There are 4 sections.
2. Sub Nav. Each of the 4 sections has its own subnav. This does need to be editable and added to when someone creates a page in that section.
3. Sub nav 2 (electric boogaloo): This might be for sub sections under certain items in the above menus.
So what I'm asking is if its possible to have 4 autonavs that would be different for each section and be added to when some one adds a page in that section (but wouldn't appear in the other sections). Or is this a silly way to do it?
Wow, that was more complex to explain than I thought.
Thanks very much in advance for your help.
Sorry for the late reply, very rude. Thanks for the links. It's taught me a lot about the abilities of autonav.
I still can not seem to figure out how to display a third level of navigation though.
I have the top level and then the second in a side menu. The third needs to be added under the relevant second level nav in this side menu. Is this possible?
So would look something like this.
Option 1
---Option 1.1
---Option 1.2
Option 2
---Option 2.1
---Option 2.2
Option 3
Option 4
I hope that makes sense!!!!
Thanks again!
Have you tried with all options available? Show all subpages?
Edit: email address removed
Thanks :)
For a deeper understanding of the autonav and how to set it up correctly, I suggest you read this how-to (which still apply despite the age of the article): http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/editors/primer-auto-...
