Page Defaults custom class inheritance

Good day! I have a Page Default set up with a Composer Control block which in turn gets a Content block from Composer. I'm setting a custom class (defined in page_theme) on this block in order to have the contents display in two columns with CSS.
Unfortunately, Set Up on Child Pages does not work for this block type.
Is there a way to have all child pages inherit this class?
