One simple solution that I can suggest is to create a new user which does not have access to the dashboard.
I don't really know about your site structure... so I assume
------------
1. You are using fresh c5 (newly installed)
2. You are in simple permission mode (default setting)
3. You are the only user (admin)
------------
So my recommendation is to create another user.
1. Go to Dashboard - User and Groups.
2. And then you go to Site Map.
3. Click the Home page
4. Select Permission from the menu
5. Set the newly created user to be able to edit.
6. And then, log in to the new user, and when you log-in, you won't have to go through the dashboard.
It's also good to keep admin separate than your main user account for security reason anyway.
