Topic List in Blog page - erroneous link

I'm having a small problem with a blog, based on HW Simple Blog in the marketplace.
Otherwise everything works ok, but the Topics List links don't work correctly when a blog entry is open. In the blog list view they work ok.
Links are generated like this, containing extra characters at the end.
http://mysite.com/topic/20/entry?cID=...
The Blog Entry page type comes from the package's concrete5-cif XML. I coud try to fix the root cause, but I just can't find any decent documentation of
a) cif XML topic_list type parameters (mode, title, topicAttributeKeyHandle, tree etc.)
b) how to *upgrade* current site from cif XML
It's a dead end. I would appreciate any advice of how to fix this. Thanks!

Have you cleared your browser and concrete5 cache?

Cache is not enabled in the server side and I have double checked browser cache as well.
To clarify, the links work perfectly ok in blog list view. But when you open any of the blog entries, the topic list on the right side contain only erroneous links. Open this, for example:
