Urgent: CoreCommerce Shipping Bug

If you add a product to the cart that requires shipping, but then remove it from the cart, the shipping charges STILL SHOW UP upon checkout with other products - even if those other products don't require shipping.
Getting maligned by a client for this and I can't figure out how to fix it. Willing to barter some coding or graphic design work to the first person who can help out this!
