Where do you go to approve user accounts (am I being stupid?!)

Despite using C5 for ages now, until now I've weirdly never needed to configure a site with public registration.
[Using 5.8] I can see the settings to notify an email address of a registration, but I can't for the life of me see anywhere to go and manually see a list of pending users. Does this exist?

This is what I thought should happen, but it appears my member list is only showing active members with no obvious way to see the unapproved ones. If I click the email link I can get to the individual activation page but it would be better to get an overview of all pending registrations.
Oh I've just seen you can set the search filters to do this - I wonder if the default can be changed so a new search isn't required each time?

Then if you click on the user there will be an Approve button if they aren't approved.
