Useful site.php settings

Permalink
I was thinking it might be kind of nice to get a thread started where people could share useful settings that can be added to the /config/site.php file. I feel like I stumble across new ones all the time and it would be nice to have a central place for them all.

So far the only ones I've really used are:
//enable or disable the news overlay that pops up when you first log in
define('ENABLE_NEWSFLOW_OVERLAY', true);
//the format to use for the title of the page. This example would be: Page Title :: Site Name
define('PAGE_TITLE_FORMAT', '%2$s :: %1$s');
//JPEG compression on thumbnails - default is 80
define('AL_THUMBNAIL_JPEG_COMPRESSION', 90);
//The following three settings are used to set the default from address and from display name to use in emails
define('EMAIL_DEFAULT_FROM_ADDRESS', [email protected]');
define('EMAIL_DEFAULT_FROM_NAME', 'MyWebsite.com');
define('FORM_BLOCK_SENDER_EMAIL', EMAIL_DEFAULT_FROM_ADDRESS);

I'm sure there are a ton more out there that I just don't know about. If anyone else has any settings that they use regularly and might help others out feel free to post them here. Thanks!

Are these all still valid? It looks like this was posted over a year ago. If so I might copy them into this thread, just in case that site were to ever be taken down.

Take a look at the root/concrete/config/base.php file. There are a whole bunch of settings listed there.

Oh excellent! I had never checked this file out before, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I think this pretty much covers it then, haha.

Thank you for this! I'll have to add it to my treasure trove of code lines!

My favourite is the whitelisting option:
define('WHITE_LABEL_LOGO_SRC', 'IMG-URL');
