Always a problem with C5 installtion!

Hi guys, the previous error message was that i cant have 2 databses so i deleted all databses in cpanel, tried to reinstall and then this:


SQLSTATE[HY000] [1044] Access denied for user 'remobile_iwpi'@'localhost' to database 'remobile_IWPI'

aaarrrggggh!!

How do i get around this one?

That looks like your database user isn't associated with the new database you've set up.

With setting up blank databases for concrete5 (or any CMS/app realy) there are three steps:
- Create the blank database
- Create a new user
- Give the new user privileges to the new database

So it's this final step you may have missed.

In cPanel, go into the database section and scroll down to a section that should be titled 'Add User To Database', it'll have two drop downs, one for your list of databases and one for your list of users.

Pick the new user and database and hit 'Add'. Then check all the check 'All Privileges' and then hit the Make Changes button.

Fixed, i deleted the old database and created a new one with new user.
