Cannot See New Software Add-On in Add Block

Hi All,

Been using Concrete5 for over a year - all has been well until very recently.

My install was moved to my own hosted server area about 3 months ago - not major issues.

I have recently purchased an Add-on, which used to install automatically, no I have to download the zipped file and extract. Ok that's not an issue, but I cannot see the software add-on in Add Block.

I have looked and reviewed so many posts, but just don't seem to be able to pin down the issue here. I think it may have something to do with the move and the change in the root folders name.

Also I have 2 updates outstanding to previously installed Add-on's - each time I attempt to update I am advised "An error occurred while downloading this package"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Are you sure your add-on is for the right Concrete5 version?
There is the legacy 5.6.x version and the new (and improved) 5.7.x version.

Add-ons for one won't work in the other.

Hi Mnakalay,

Yes I noticed the new selection interface - sorry been away for a while with work. So I checked my environment and I'm 5.6.3.1.

So chose the add-on for this version.

Hi All,

As mentioned earlier, I recently moved my site. Now I have checked in My Profile, and I have 2 Projects, with similar names.

One project has the majority of my add-on's, and the other has 2 recently purchased add-on! Could this be one of the reasons I cannot install and see the block? If so how to I remove the "additional project" without having to repurchase the add-on?

Any help appreciated.

Figured it Out:

1. Released all add-on's from the former project and added them to the new (later) project and deleted the old one.

2. Couldn't see Add-on block and couldn't uninstall add-on - this was a permissions issue. Changed to sub directories and files 777. Uninstalled, re-installed it worked.

For whatever reason extracting the add-on in \packages did not give the correct permissions. Had to FileZilla it.
