hi,

sorry for this question but I am new with concrete5.
I am trying to clone the website that I am working on it and then work on the original one. So in case if it is messed up. I can go back and install the clone one that I have. Is this possible without any problem???

Sounds like you're looking to do a backup. I've always un-checked Pretty Urls first. Then you export a copy of the database, and download a copy of the file directory from the server. If anything goes awry, just re-upload the DB and files.

Also turn off and clear the cache before making the database copy.

In general, there can be more directories to back up than just 'files', can't there? I'd get everything in 'application' except files/cache. I'd also copy 'packages', although I suppose they could be re-downloaded if required.

Yes, there is an Application folder and a bunch others. By directory I mean the Public_html or var/www folder that houses these folders.
