Hi All,

i am builiding a new site and can't seem to get past an error message when installing concrete5. I just purcahsed the domain and got it fully hosted. Really would like 8.3.2 for this site, any advice to stremline this process and find success? This is for a pipe band.

What is the error message? Are you installing via command line (best success rate - https://documentation.concrete5.org/developers/appendix/cli-commands... or web interface?

I'm guessing that this error is because your host is using php 7.2, whereas x5 8.3.2 isn't yet fully compatible with it. See if you can use php 7.1 (if you've got CPanel access, you can probably change it there).

Got it. Lastly, anyone know how to load the SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION PAGE. While I build the site?

There's a 'Maintenance Mode' page in the Dashboard. Dunno exactly how it appears to non-admins...

There's an 'under construction' add-on kicking around, but I think it can break things so caveat emptor...

Is that true, about php 7.2.
The system requirements page says:

"Version 8 system requirements
We recommend PHP 7.2 or whatever is latest (PHP 5.5.9 is the minimum)"
