I need to move my new site to a different hosting server. I need help with gathering ALL of my website files to transfer. How do I get all my files?

This isn't an answer, but don't forget to get your database too. It's often not accessible like a normal file.

How to download your files and your database depends on your current server's setup.

If you are using a cPanel based host, you should be able to find a 'Backup' section in cPanel. In that, you can download the home directory (which will download a zip, including your public_html directory). Also in the backup screen is a link to download a dump of your database.

Other types of control panel may or may have easy to access links like that, or equivalent backup systems. Ultimately you want to ensure you have both the files _and_ the database.

Where possible I'd avoid using FTP to manually download all the files. As there can be _many_ files, it's much faster and more reliable to try to zip them on the server before downloading.

Ultimately you may need to just contact your host for advice.
