Fatal Error During Upgrade to 5.6.0.1

When upgrading a 5.4.2.2 website to 5.6.0.1 I am getting the following error message and the site is coming up as a blank screen now:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method TaskPermission::addTask() in /usr/home/anewspirit/www/htdocs/concrete/helpers/concrete/upgrade/version_550.php on line 54

I've upgraded more sites than I can count but this is the first upgrade I've done with 5.6. I haven't seen this error before. Any recommendations on how to proceed?

I ended up just rolling the site back to the original because I knew it was going to be too difficult to try to fix a partially upgraded site. However, I still need to upgrade this site so if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears because I haven't been able to pinpoint the cause yet.

Just happened again on another site. Both were upgrades from 5.4.2.2. Perhaps we need to upgrade to 5.5 first, then on to 5.6?

I've had the same thought.

Did you upgrade manually or through the Dashboard?

5.5 should be included in your updates folder from what Ive experienced. This how to helps to shed some light.
