GoDaddy Hosting Plan - Linux (cPanel) or Windows (Plesk)?

I am about to purchase a hosting plan from GoDaddy. I already have a domain name purchased with them. When I customize my plan (Deluxe plan) I am prompted to choose an operating system. I can either choose the "Linux with cPanel control panel" or the "Windows with Plesk control panel." Which one do I need to choose in order to upload Concrete5 to it? I'm thinking the Linux control panel because after doing research I found that a MySQL Sever Database will work with Concrete5. This maybe a rather unintelligent question but I am new to this. Any advice or help would be appreciated; thanks in advance! (Also, I'm using a Mac and I'm not sure if that will affect either of the control panels.)

Always go with Linux (with cpanel). If you are familiar with FTP, I recommend setting it up manually, instead of using the 1-click install (sometimes those auto-installers don't install everything properly).

Hi mediaman,

Regarding your choice of host, I strongly advise against using GoDaddy.

The quality of GoDaddy service is poor and many concrete5 users have posted to the forum regarding server issues.

Here are a few hosts that concrete5 recommends.

GoDaddy is not recommended because its poor hosting performance. I had hosted with this web host for about 2 months, and I moved out soon because of the poor performance. Finally, I moved to bluehost and zhuji91, because i have several sites and one of their target visitors are mainly in China. So, I chose zhuji91. You can learn the details of the 2 sites I recommend by clicking the following links.
