What do you mean by "upgrade the account"? I've been thinking about using GoDaddy as my host, so if you can provide more details about your hosting package or any special setup instructions, that'd be great.

Thanks,

I use GoDaddy all the time with Concrete5 with no issues.

There are a lot of links in the formums to help you fix your issues.

The two main things to go wrong are these:
1. Ensure your permissions are correct. Follow the instructions.
2. Ensure your phpini file is php5 not php.

Go daddy messed my hosting up some how, the client set it up as windows and I asked them to change it to Linux. They did this but for some reason it never happened. I installed everything as normal but had lots of issues before i discovered that they had messed it up.

Thanks, Bill. Are the sites in your profile hosted with GoDaddy? Does GoDaddy offer any caching / accelerator options? If so, do your sites use it?

All of them are on Godaddy.

I havent really had to use an accelerator but they have something installed already. You can do a lot of little things inside your root and your phpini file. If godaddy doesn't support it, you will find out quickly.

Change Test Edit.....unless of course you have a dedicated server with them:) then Bob's your uncle.

are you on a shared or dedicated server? I tried installing C5 for a site that's on a shared server on GoDaddy and it wouldn't work... Called GoDaddy's support and they said it couldn't be done.
