image not found - missing images after upgrade

Hi I have some missing images after upgrading to 5.4.2.1

Seems to be thumbnail attribute images on the page_list, and other auto generated images eg. image block only shows "image not found" when i edit the block i can see the thumbnail .

In the file manager i can see all the images but when i try to rescan them i get ... "1. File filename.jpg could not be found."

All images that have been added through the editor are fine ... Iv checked permissions and the server config its all fine too.

any thoughts ?
thanks

I think you might have already tried this, but have you cleared the cache and restarted the server?

hi mkly,

I have cleared the cache files, checked permissions and have other sites working on the server ( i have also checked the GD library,) this only happened after I upgraded the site to 5.4.2.1

The images that have been added through the editor are displayed ... any idea why this would happen ?

thanks

the problem seems to be with the file storage location

I had a Alternate Storage Directory setup ... for some reason after upgrading the standard location was blank.

when i rolled the site.com/concrete folder back i could see the correct standard location so it was not deleted from the db, i copied it into the updated version -> save and all images are loaded again.

Phew !

Hi, I am having the same problem with upgrading to 5.5.2.1

Can you tell me more specifically what you did to solve the problem? Thanks in advance!

you might have to dig around in the dashboard for this .. ur looking for the flie location settings ... in the latest version its here:
http://www.yoursite.com/index.php/dashboard/system/environment/file...

i think the problem was when i moved the site from linux to windows ie.
d:\Domains\yoursite.co.uk\wwwroot/files

just reset the file location path to suit ur site
