Hi,
I installed the latest version in ubuntu and I keep getting the error: "This user is inactive. Please contact us regarding this account."

In my local windows its working fine...

The error shows up in my first navigation after a successful login.
I mean, I dont know if the login was successful, but i do see the admin dashboard before i click in any button.
BTW, the users is already active in the database.

I even installed with the full site option and it is keep happening.

I see a lot of people with this issue but no solution yet....?

What should I do?

Thanks

Hi fatnjazzy,

I don't have a lot of Linux experience, but have you checked your permissions?

Its a fresh install, what can be wrong...

I noticed this problem when I updated my development environment version of MAMP to 3.5. It only seemed to happen when I logged in to Concrete5 (latest release) using Safari - Chrome was fine. Then I noticed that the new version of MAMP uses PHP 7 by default.

Resetting MAMP to use PHP 5.6 has stopped it happening entirely, I can login using Safari again with no issues. Not sure if this helps - just my observations!

No, I take it back! Still getting the problem with PHP 5.6.10 using Safari - Chrome is still working though.

I'm getting the same problem after upgrade to 5.7.5.8. Login as the admin succeeds. Initially the admin can edit but after a variable number of seconds, from just a few to maybe about a minute, the "user is inactive" error appears and the admin user is redirected to the login page. Highly annoying.

The database shows the user to be active (ulsActive = 1), so that can't be the problem.

Exploring the database log, I see entries of the following form created whenever the error appears:
Session Invalidated. Session IP "94.xx.xxx.44" did not match provided IP "94.xx.xxx.23".

I am using Firefox 45.0.2 on a public machine with The Cloud Networks validation process to access the web. The actual IP address of the machine does appear to be shifting around as I work, but the IP address returned by a service like whatismyip.com does not generally match the "session IP" settings noted in the log.

Can those of you who have experienced this problem please look at the Logs table in your database and confirm whether you have similar messages, and if your IP address is shifting around as you work?

As for a solution, is there an option somewhere to keep the session active even if the "session IP" is changing around?
