Manual upgrade to 5.6 - Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted

When I try to upgrade our current 5.5.2.1 setup the installer seems to go to a infinite loop and when memory runs out it prints this message: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 80 bytes) in /var/www/testsajt/concrete/libraries/3rdparty/adodb/adodb.inc.php on line 1052

I have also tried to increase the RAM available but the same error occurs then. If I watch apache2 with top I can see how it grows.

I've been able to repeat the error on two different servers running the same site.

On the other site I got the error
PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 207 bytes) in /www/updates/concrete5.6.0/concrete/core/libraries/controller.php on line 42

I've tried to remove some of the overrides we have but it didn't help either. Will try to do this again.

What can make the installer go into this loop?

Hi

this upgrade to 5.6 seems a problem that more (at this time at least 3 people) have - but mrzoidbergs link (see 2nd link below) did not help for me: Still out or memory.
