New installation of Concrete5 is slow on Binero hosting

Hi.

Been trying for a couple of days to fix an extremely slow Concrete5 installation. At this point, I've reinstalled Concrete5 several times, and I have yet to add any content (there's only the site name on there), but with a 7KB front page it still takes between 30-40 seconds to load. Firebug tells me that it's the .css files that takes the time to load. On my local MAMP installation the entire site (with content) is snappy, but for some reason the hosted site is terrible.

site:http://www.ny-city.se
hosting provider:http://www.binero.se
web server: lightspeed

Thankful for any help I can get.

i think its your host, make sure all files exist and there are no 404's on resources,

i suggest hostgator, really snappy fast

Thanks for your reply.

I think that there's something wrong on the host side as well. I've initiated a service ticket with the hosting provider, but I got a feeling that they are not so familiar with Concrete5... I'm looking everywhere for something to point them in the right direction but haven't found anything useful yet.

I got a reply from the hosting provider, "Turn off cach". And they closed the ticket... Since it's been off since I set up the site, that didn't help...

The strange thing is that the dashboard is fast, and when I set the site in "development" mode it loads in 2 sec.

Is the "typography.css" needed, and if not can it be disabled somehow? This is the file that takes "forever" to load...

Problem solved. The hosting company moved the site to a new file cluster and the problem went away.
