Unable to upgrade past 8.1.0

Hi.

I am struggling to upgrade my 8.1.0 C5 site.
I am looking for some ideas on what to try next.

I have tried upgrading through the dashboard to 8.2.1 (the only option available). That fails with an error message about som abstract classes in Doctrine.

After restoring the database and file structure I tried to upgrade to 8.3.2 manually (replacing the concrete folder and running the /system/ccm/upgrade command). But then the system tells me I have already successfully upgraded to version 8.1.0.

Again I restored the database and file structure and did yet again a manual upgrade attempt to 8.2.1 and got the same message as before, namely that this was already successfully upgraded to 8.1.0.

Now I am out of ideas.

Does anyone have suggestions on what to try to get me to the newest C5 version, 8.3.2, and what can be wrong with my site since it will not upgrade??

Thanks!

I'll start by saying I'm not a developer or C5 expert, but I have also been having trouble with upgrades since 8.1.0. I have heard from multiple people that there are some bugs still being worked out, and advice seems to be to wait until 8.3.3 is released and then try upgrading to that, skipping the buggy versions in between.

Regarding that Doctrine error:

Possibly changing your php version to 7+ would help. It did fix that particular error for me, but it was replaced with others, so on the whole I'm no further along. Just waiting for the next release before I try again.

I don't think /system/ccm/upgrade applies to c5 8+.

Ok, I 'll guess I have to wait it out then. Thanks.
