Update and ... well ... nothing.

Hey there
I just tried to update a site from 5.4 to 5.4.1.1 and I got an error message

"Cannot find file xxxxx/xxxx/xxxx/updates (x's = file path)"

So I create a file in the correct directory called "updates" set the permissions to 777 and now the page goes blank when I try to update.

Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Delete the file and create a folder called updates.

That should solve your problem.

Yeah I did mean folder... whoops.

Anyway, I did a manual update instead and it seemed to work
