Update to 8.3.2 not working

I had a problem with a couple sites where they were on 8.2 and I would log in - get a notice that the update for 8.3.1 was available. I would click on updates and then it would say there were no updates available. I checked the environment and sure enough I was NOT updated.

I eventually just manually updated it following manual replace instructions. This worked fine. I figure oh - just weird bug.

Now I got notified 8.3.2 is available. I went to run the update and again, when it goes to apply update page it says there are no updates available.

Any ideas how to get out of this vicious cycle? I don't want to be manually updating forever!

Is your site connected to concrete5's marketplace?

Good guess, but no it is connected. I was able to update one of the plugins I purchased with no problems today.

Hi plschneide,

There were two bugs related to updates.

One bug broke the update notification link.
"Dashboard's Update pages has been moved, and now link is still unchanged and get 404 #6245"
https://github.com/concrete5/concrete5/pull/6245...

The other bug broke dashboard updating.
"Fix storing/reading cache item about last available version #6277"
https://github.com/concrete5/concrete5/pull/6277...

Both should be fixed in 8.3.2.

Good to know. I mentioned the wrong link in another update to 8.3.2 in the Leader's Discussion forum...

That is good to know. So to update to 8.3.2 - would I need to do a manual update then or?

@plschneide

Yes, I recommend making a full backup (database and files), then manually updating.

Download 8.3.2 locally fromhttp://concrete5.org/download
Unzip an upload unzipped 'concrete5-8.3.2' folder by FTP to your /public_html/updates folder
In browser, go to your website using path ..../index.php/dashboard/system/update/update
Update to 8.3.2 should now be showing as available
