Upgrade 5.2.1 to 5.3 Lost Cyrillic fonts

I have used Concrete for a while and upgraded when announced to 5.2 then later to 5.2.1 and now 5.3.
All was fine until this last upgrade. My site is dual language (Ukrainian and English) The upgrade went through smoothly (I only copied over the Concrete folder) and then ran upgrade. But now the text encoding has gone haywire and my Ukrainian text is now garbled text. The English text is fine.
What has gone wrong? What have I forgot to do? Please help. You can see the effect athttp://www.plast.org.uk

Katz...
Read the link. I too have no ssh access. I can export the SQL db using MYSQLAdmin. I would appreciate any help or script that will recode my ukrainian characters back to normal.

Many thanks

Hey do you have a SQL back up for 5.2.1?

I just talked with Hulkd.

It didn't work this after you upgraded to 5.3.0.

I should be flogged... Because all my other upgrades went through smoooothly I didn't make a back-up of my 5.2.1 db. :(

My 5.3 db exports at 417k... Although looking through it a great deal is data on page versioning and files ( I have a large number of pics. None of this data is affected by the change in character coding. I think I only need the data in tables that contain page content to be looked at.

Is there anything that can be done?

Looks like I'm going to have to re-enter the corrupted text again...

Sorry, I just launched the Japanese site, so I've been busy...

I'm sorry to hear that.

I found out this problem a month ago.. and posted at Internationalization forum about this...

But they already fixed this problem.. and this won't happen again.
