Addon (package, block..) and translation

Hi,

Is it possible or planed to translate addons like blocks or packages ?

I can't think any way to do that without modify the unique po file... and it doesn't seem very nice.

Yep. I agree.

RIght now, most of the add-ons have very few strings.

So I am thinking that I may want to translate directly and re-distribute through my concrete5 Japanese site.

See this request:

Katz, we might need to modify the software before we can translate it. The current system doesn't allow you to use more than one language for a block translation. As soon as you have to build a site with several languages, you'll have a problem...

Yes. I know...

But luckily, Japanese people don't really speak other languages, so there is a fewer demand to be able to do the multi block stuff.

Again... this is just my "for-now" solution for Japanese users who wants to use the blocks in Japanese...

But I'm still busy setting up concrete5 Japan site, so I won't be start working on add-on block stuff for a while.

In Switzerland you should speak at least 10 different langauges at the age of 12 ;-)

I don't know for others folks, but in Canada, if you want to be worldwide on the market, your product has to be in english, french, spanish basically, and perhaps for the topnotch impact to be in chinese, german, italian, greek, yeddish, swaili, afrikaans, creole...

'Cause you know, we're a land of welcome; but for sure that's not the same for everyone...

My daily reality is to know english, french and spanish. And if I want to make big bucks, more languages is a big plus.

Hello world!
Cheers.
