grab this one at
http://svn.concrete5.org/svn/concrete5-i18n...

you need poedit to convert the file to .mo

feel free to commit and if you like to, have a look at the german concrete5 wikibook at

hi all,
i have installed the german language file and it worked for a few days. But suddenly it switched back to english and i have no idea why?
I tried to edit the config/site.php and put

define('LOCALE', 'de_DE');

into it but each time i want to upload the file via ftp i get thisd error message:

550 site.php;Permission denied
critcial error

so i cant edit the sit.php and cant even change the CHMOD permission to this file.

Does have anyone else this problem and does anyone know how to fix it?

I can't convert the po file to a mo file. Poedit gives two errors, but I can't read them on a Mac.

hi!
I've translated the missing strings (about ~45) in the po file. Here's my contribution to Concrete5. It is error free now. The Original po file contained errors.

Franz, can you please put this into sf.net?

Thanks so far to everyone involved in the translation! Great work!

But still there is a problem: while the site displays fine in german, the user profile (defined as a single page!) still shows the links pointing to messages, view and the like in english. I looked at the appropriate single_files and the sidebar.php, which concrete uses to display the navigation in user profile view.

In this file (sidebar.php), the php code uses gettext like
<?php echo t....?>
. But the wordings used (view, avatar, messages and so on) do not show up in the messages.po!

Anyone knows how to add these to the .po? PoEdit won´t let me do that...

In case someone can help, I will translate these missing items to german and post the resulting .po here.

Have a nice weekend,
regards

Stefan

That happens because URLS aren't internationalized atm and some places in concrete5 aren't translated, like the places you've found.

if it's just a word you can wrap a t("") around the echo, so that it will become
echo t("Messages")
.

Then you can use an app that Kino made to translate those missing strings.
You'll find it here:http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/internationalization/andq...

Whoopsa... havent looked for this one in a long time, so I guess I´m too late.

5.4.1.1 is translated to german so far as I can see, if anyone needs further translating just say so. Little time in the last months, sorry...
