Greek characters are converted to HTML codes in source

Hello,
I have a problem with greek characters. When I type any greek in any of the fields they get translated to HTML codes in the source. Apart from the RichTextEditor this also happens for titles and such, meaning that I cannot type any decent titles as they get trimmed due to the 128 characters limitation for the title of the page.
Is there any way to overcome this problem?

I'm having a similar problem. The text is projected just fine but in the source it is all html code. The crawlers can not find the content text.
This could be a database problem. Your database can be encoded a number of ways and I know that UTF-8 will support all manner of characters. I know that Latin-1 encoding does not support this.
