C5 Website very slow; need to move to a different host

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Yesterday I posted about huge problems with EdisonReport.net running very slow on Bluehost. Bluehost says a C5 problem, but most in the C5 community believe it to be a blue host problem. Need to hire someone today to move my site to a go daddy server. Please send a private message if you are interested, the cost, and the time to do this.

thanks, Randy

Godaddy will be a lot worse than Bluehost!
I'll drop you a line to explain.

As Job says, under no circumstances should you move to GoDaddy.

Have a read about other C5 members who have been having problems with GoDaddy:

I am using Arvixe and it is working great! I have not had a single issue with my site being slow. Plus its only $7 per month. How can you beat that?

I primarily use Arvixe and Siteground for my 'shared host' clients. My only issue I have had with Arvixe has been a persistent email server issue on one of their Windows hosting plans but no problems on the PHP side.

Hi,

I have been using site5 for the past few years on all my Concrete5. Their shared servers are very good, uptime is brilliant and their online live chat support is amazing.

Click this link if you want to sign up and i get a little cash back

I'm not sure we want to start filling our free help forums with affiliate links.

Sorry about that but they are very good and if I get a kick back then why not.

I just don't see affiliate links posted here so I assume I'm not alone.

Common courtesy would be to at least point out that it is an affiliate link so people are aware. Otherwise, it's just as bad as spam riding on C5's coat-tails and unprofessional.

I thought by stating "I get a little cash back" it was obvious it was an affiliate link. My bad.

Let's not derail the post.

Site5 is very good and with every account you get affiliate links link the one I posted before. These enable you to also make a very small amount when someone signs up using your link.

I have never made a penny from them but having used, godaddy, 1and1 and a few other hosting companies I can't tell you enough how happy I am that I use site5.

If you want to get your site setup on a test account on my hosting to see if it improves the speed please email me on hello@tm-designs.co.uk

I appreciate and understood that you gave full disclosure.

A 'test' website should be fast on almost all servers because the delay is often caused by a multitude of database queries that only happen as a site gets populated with add-ons and packages. In order to really measure the difference, the existing site would have to be entirely cloned to site5.

This is what I was proposing by stating "if you want to get your site". Ie taking a copy of the site and putting it up on a test area on my hosting.

guys,

I am using Bluehost for more than 100 concrete5 websites and have no problems with speed whatsoever.
C5 caching system is brilliant, especially in the newest version of C5.

Even sites with intense database queries are fast enough for shared hosting expectations in my experience.

I cold post my affiliate link that gives me 65$ every time someone uses it - LOL
