Need some tweaks to Superfish add-on

I'm building a site using the Superfish add-on: http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/superfish/...
I basically have it doing what I want it to do, but what I cannot figure out (translate to "beyond my capability") is changing the CSS or whatever needs to change to have second level menu items (and levels below that) to have different background colors in this navigation. It seems like this would be an easy thing to do, but it really isn't...at least not for me. If anyone is interested in a quick job, contact me and I will share access to the site.
