Who wants to build an add-on that uses SquareUp's API to accept credit card payments?

I might be interested. I'm already working on an ecommerce package.

What are the features / options you're looking for?

Budget?

Hi -

Very simple interface. Enter an amount and all of the info needed to charge
the card and hit submit and it goes to SquareUp account. The configuration
call all be in the block (no dashboard tool needed.)

Does that make sense or do you need more? I think it's pretty
straightforward.

Thanks!

Is this like how a Paypal buy now button works?

Wouldn't Stripe.com be more appropriate?

Only if stripe.com was the vendor I wanted to use. If there already were a
C5 add-on for Stripe, I might consider it.

There is a Stripe addon awaiting approval in the PRB. It allows you to sell a product using the Stripe API. It will be called "Selling One". Should be available any day now.

I noticed the other day that Community Store, under active development, has a Stripe add-on that looked pretty good.

Thank you. I am not familiar with Community Store. What is it? I don't see
it in the add-on store??

It's not available in the Concrete5.org marketplace. It's only on Github as an open source project. It looks stable, but the problem is that there isn't any support and hasn't gone through the Peer Review Board process yet. In other words, use at your own risk.

To add to what PineCreativeLabs said, I recommend anyone interested in Community Store to read the wiki.
https://github.com/concrete5-community-store/community_store/wiki...

The project is being actively developed by experienced developers, offers high quality code, and is production ready. One of the reasons for why it is not in the marketplace is because it is a developer tool. It is not intended for general users to install and set up on their own.
