5.6.2.1 - edited Calendar (proevents list) - Calendar stuck loading

Hello,

One of our staff members added an event to the Calendar using the dashboard (ProEvents).

The Calendar is now stuck "loading". No events display for any month of our Calendar, past or present.

Has anyone dealt with this error before? It has been three days now that our calendar is stuck in this state.

Thank you for your time and help.

Kind regards,

A.

Have you checked the Developer Tools for javascript errors? Did you verify that everything is setup correctly with the new event?

Hi hutman,

Thank you for the response.

The event has since been deleted by our staff member. However, the calendar is still "locked" in 'loading...'

How do we access the Developer's Tools?

Kind regards,

A

In your browser hit the F12 key, this should open a Developer Tools window and you can look for javascript errors in the Console tab.

Thank you.

Yep, there is one error:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () www.www.google.com/calendar/feeds/usa__en%40holiday.calendar.google.... Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()

Are you using the ProEvents calendar on the page or an embedded Google Calendar? That error is a Google Calendar Forbidden, which wouldn't be caused by ProEvents

Waiting for some info from staff member(s) who posted recently when our error occured.

How would one set up a Google Calendar feed into the Pro Events calendar?

Thank you very much for your help!

Okay.

So...

When I go into Pro Events Dashboard
I go into Settings
For the Jquery Calendar settings, I unchecked "show holidays"
Now everything is displaying correctly.

So it looks "fixed"
However, going forward, is there a reason checking that "show holidays" box would result in that error?

My best guess would be that the developer of ProEvents had hard coded in there a link to one of their Google Calendars and has since revoked the access. You'd have to ask the developer to be sure though.
