Blank page after moving to new server

Hi,

I'm moving to a new server and I'm still running 5.6.2.1. When I visit my concrete5 website, I just get a blank page.

I am able to get into the Dashboard without issues and everything is working there. I've tried clearing caches and everything, but no cigar.

One thing that partially works is if I visit my website, but add 'index.php'. It then shows me my theme without any content.

How do I figure out what's causing the blank page so I can solve the issue? Any thoughts?

Could be something to do with pretty URLs. I reckon that the safest way to move sites is to turn off pretty URLs beforehand, then re-enable when all is running ok on the new server.

Another less likely possibility is caching. Again, the safe tactic is to turn off all caching and clear the cache before moving.

Okay I fixed it. Feel like a noob, but it's been a while since I've done this.

The cause of the blank page was the presence of an 'index.html' file, that was there because it is by default. I removed it, then my page loaded.

When my page loaded, I was missing content, and some php code that was in the custom template I built was visible. That was caused because it was started by a php shorttag instead of the original one, which I apparently haven't enabled yet.

Website works okay now.
