Could you be a little more specific what you're trying to accomplish? Perhaps an example?

There are a couple of image gallery add-ons in the marketplace that might do what you want without having to create a theme.

Basically its this. From the ecommerce package, you create your product and add your images, thumbnail, main etc and then you have the ability to add additional images.
Now, unless you click on or roll over the main image on the product page, you are not aware that there are other images to view. What I want is an image of the main product with the thumbnails displayed underneath it so that they are clickable like thishttp://www.king-apparel.com/PremierStreetBrand/Shop/Clothing/Hoodie...
I hope this illustrates what I am after creating in more detail.

Its showing all the thumbnails of a product beneath the big image. Clicking on the thumbnail, it loads the big image of that corresponding thumbnail.
