The HTML5 version is not responsive, we assume the c5 theme should be? Is the HTML5 version the same as wp version? If someone converted the html5 theme to a c5 theme would it suffice or must it be a conversion from wp theme to c5 theme?

Non-responsive sites are outdated. And I think even if a WordPress theme were responsive, you will have to be careful and look first if the HTML/CSS is of good quality. Maybe run PageSpeed Insights of Google and W3C validate it... because a lot of WordPress things are just coded fast with nothing else in mind. Just saying, as most people only come to know this after their site has gone live with a crappy setup like this.

Right, the reason I asked as I couldn't get the supplied wp theme to work on newest wp version so I can't even see what it looks like. If the HTML5 site provided is the same then the c5 theme could be built off that example instead.

Then we could have some fun, see whoever can code it into a c5 theme the fastest and win a prize!
Of course responsive as responsive web development is just plain ol' web development!

As for who is the fastest, go ahead. Don't count me in haha. You don't need to rush a job, you need a quality job. Everyone can build websites, but not everyone has a user friendly, page 1/2 on Google website.

Indeed, but its theme conversion, a pretty standard process eh? It's not building a complete site so to speak. Mostly a matter of writing markup and CSS, which if not valid and beautiful disqualifies contestants from the race! Lol.

I don't know much about wordpress other than all the times I had to salvage hacked sites for clients using wget mirror until we could build them a new one in c5!
