Looking for theme

There are a lot of fantastic themes in the Marketplace, but they almost all look like they're for marketing websites rather than a website that is going to have a lot of menu items. I'm using Karma currently and the colors are what I need, but it doesn't work with Discussion Forums (start topic, reply, monitor or even display replies) and the menu doesn't work in phone/ipad size. I've looked through all of the themes and don't see an alternative. Does anyone have any ideas?
Someone who is also using the Karma theme, found the solution to add-ons not working with the Karma theme and it fixed my problems with Discussion Forums. Including it here in case it might help others:
** I've noticed a few oddities with regard to the theme's view.php. Apparently, it should have a section that says "print $innerContent", and doesn't need a "Main" content section. From what I've read, and been told by another developer, the view.php is used to wrap the various single pages (such as the profile pages) and is the base on which custom page types are built. When I removed the Main content area & added "print $innerContent", my Profile pages & an add-in that I bought started working.

Foundation5 is a good theme that has nice responsive behavior for large menus.
