Packaged blocks 5.7 - v8

Hey all,
Just decided to try and update my site to v8 from 5.7. My theme is packaged up and contains several custom block templates.
The site is throwing an error when I get to a page that uses them.
Is there a best practice to updating these for V8?

Is there a best practice to updating these for V8?
if your file is named .php9 the nine may be the issue. Should just be .php
No - It's just named tasks.php - dunno why the debugger did that... But you are right - when I remove the folder from the blocks directory, the site works.

I'm finding that the custom templates in the package aren't displaying at all...
