Vidall elegancia onyx theme for 5.7 ?

Hi,

I currently have a site running this theme under 5.5.2.1 and want to upgrade to concrete5 to 5.7 (mainly because my provider will drop old php support soon. Afterwards, only php 7.x will be available ... so, I am forced to upgrade .... or did I misunderstood something ?).

I have read that upgrading from 5.6 to 5.7 is quite difficult ... and Vidall elegancia onyx theme does not seem to exist for 5.7.

Ideas, advices very welcome (I don't want to make the whole job again)

If you want to upgrade to 5.7 and keep the same theme you will have to:
1- use Concrete5 migration tool that will allow you to keep all your pages, your files, your users, and most data related to core blocks so content for instance. Check this page for more info:https://documentation.concrete5.org/tutorials/upgrade-56-57...
2- convert your theme or have it converted by someone who can (you might have to hire someone) or maybe get a new theme from the marketplace.
3- find solutions to replace all your non-core blocks. Some have been converted to 5.7 but others haven't.

It is a complex process that will require some expertise at some point. You can try to rely of free help in the forum here or consider hiring someone if you feel you need to.

Maybe that's your chance to re-design and re-build your site?

5.5.2.1 is a pretty old c5 core. In addition to the above, you will probably be best to update to the latest 5.6.x core through the usual update process before (1). That will give you the best chance of a successful export of content.
