Want to change CSS on theme Equinox

I want to make changes on the CSS to change the colour of the banner on the front page.
Its not possible in the normal menu on 8.4.3 as far as I can see.
I have dreamweaver 6, and I have downloaded all the content on my webhotel, but I cant find the css-file - only a main.less ? and I can't edit that.
Thank you in advance

Most themes on concrete5 are written in LESS and then compiled to CSS within the concrete5 core for delivery to the browser.

You can either modify the LESS and let c5 recompile it of add your own CSS to override aspects of theme CSS. When you modify a theme, your modifications are in danger of being overwritten next time an official theme update is made, so I would favour adding my own CSS to the page.

There is an ideal addon for this just approved, should be in the marketplace now.
"Theme Styling Tool
This developer tool provides a quick way to write and add your own custom CSS, avoiding the need to directly edit a theme's files (which are overwritten when themes are updated from the marketplace)."

Hi John
When I click your link to the marketplace, it redirect me to a login page -
even if just 5 seconds ago logged in - that's irritating !
Why ?

Hello John
I bought the Add on "theme Styling Tool" but I can't find it on my c5 website (running v-8.4.3 with PHP 7.2)
Where and how does the mentioned "button" appear ? ! ?
When I look at My Account, it appear as "1 Assigned License" - which I mean must report that I have bought it, but I don't know how to use it on my website in edit mode.
Maybe it doesn't work on C5-8.4.3 ? ! ?

Hi Mnakala
I have found the Add on, and I bought it too, but as you can see above, I can't find it on my website in edit mode. even though it's shown on my account page as "1 Assigned License".

First you need to connect your site to the community.

To do that go tohttp://your_site_address/index.php/dashboard/extend/connect...

There connect with the username and password you use for your account here on concrete5.org

Once that's done it will create a project here on concrete5.org for you and provide you with a link to your project page.

Follow the link and once at the project page, you will have a list of licenses you have to themes and plugins and you can attach those licenses to your project. Once that's done you'll be able to install and update your plugins and themes right from your site's dashboard.

Hope that helps

Hi again Mnakalay
I was on the "Projects" Page and there is a dropdown menu in the bottom at
the page where I can "Ad items to this project" and associate them to my
project - but there is NO "Theme styling Tool" - only "Simple Blue", which
I didn' buy or downloaded recently (maybe at the start a week ago).
So it seems to me that it doesn't work properly ? ! ?

Do you have other projects? Maybe you attached it to a different project during checkout?

I have only one project : ibtromholt.dk on Equinox with C5-8.4.3 and PHP 7.2. on webhotel One.com.
I previously - one hour ago - had two other tested themes, but I deleted them, since I didn't want to use them anyway.
"Simple Blue" isn't downloaded yet, so it can't do anything - the two others could maybe have had an influence on the outcome ?!?

You might want to contact myq from the core team, he's the support developer. You can send him a message from his profile:https://www.concrete5.org/profile/-/309367/...

You can check your purchase history from your profile on this site
> Transactions > Purchase History
and see if the license is assigned to a project
> Transactions > Licenses

If it is not assigned to a project, you can work round the problem by downloading the addon zip, then uploading the zip to your sites /packages/ directory and unzipping it there.

Dear John
Where can I get the addon zip file?
Or where is it?

You should see it under the download link from your > Transactions > Licenses page, but that link will only be valid if the license is not assigned on a project page.

The next question is:
Where do I find the button mentioned in the description?
So I can start use it.

Its a dark/light split circle next to the right of the [+] block add button in the c5 menu bar. See the second screenshot on the marketplace page.

As you have purchased, you can also ask questions of the developer by clicking the 'Get help' button on the marketplace page. Particularly with questions like that, its the sort of thing that may help a developer add to the marketplace info/docs.
