base url

The base url was changed before I came on the scene to help a friend. Is there any way to find the base url, user name and password without paying $125?

By baseurl, user name and password what exactly do you mean?

There are settings in the /config/site.php that might be what you are looking for?

I am trying to connect to the community. I don't have the correct user name and password or base url. What does the base url refer to anyway? Someone else built the site and I believe it was another url which I thought must be the base url. How do I get the user name and password for the site, what I have isn't working.

Hi Satyama,

There are a couple of different ways to resolve this.

1) If you send me the url for your project page, I can look it up in our system and figure out what username connected the project.

To do this, log in to your Dashboard and go to the Sitewide Settings
page. Under Connect to Community, you'll see a link titled "visit
project page". Right-click this link and choose "Copy link location",
"Copy link address" or similar (this differs a bit depending on which
browser you're using). Send it to me in a Private Message.

2) If you want to completely disconnect your site from its current username, check out this tutorial:

The downside of this approach is that any marketplace licenses currently assigned to the site will get "left behind" on the old project page. Licenses are owned by the screen name that purchased them. If you've got a lot of licenses, this is something to consider.

You have to get it from the person that originally setup the site

That would be ideal :)

Hi Matt:

Thanks for your help. This version doesn't seem to have the options that
you speak of. Am I missing something? I have attached a file to show you
what I see.

HI Satyama.

I'm not seeing the file you attached.

If you don't have the lines defining BASE_URL and DIR_REL in site.php you'll need to add them.

You don't need the baseurl or dirrel set
