Can't apply design changes to all pages

Hi! I have yet another issue regarding the customize mode of a concrete5 webpage.

When I want to change anything on the design of my webpage, I have the option to save changes for that page or for all pages. If I choose to save for that specific pages, everything works perfectly. However, i tried to change the navbar color globally and it doesn't save. I get a time out error message. I tried to change designs globally with 3 themes (Elemental, Supermint and my own) without any success. I do not know where to look further. I use Concrete5 version 8.1.0.

I have attached a screenshot of the error message.

Hi monikac
I'm not an expert in this area but I have had issues similar to this. I found editing the max_execution_time in my php ini file helped. Also could be worth trying increasing the memory_limit.

I edited the php.ini file on my local server, I use MAMP so the file location is /Applications/MAMP/conf/php7.1.12/php.ini
or you can add a php.ini file with the settings you need to the root folder of your live server
