Hello. Is it possible to make it so that stuff like pagetypes, which add-on is installed, full sitemap etc. is not visible for some users ?

thank you

Sorry, I'm not any help here, but I'd also like to restrict dashboard access. Ideally, I'd actually like to make it so that only admins even see that dashboard option at the top of the screen and have it hidden from everyone esle.

Easy enough, go to sitemap and click on system pages, find the dashboard page and set the permissions there.

Go to full sitemap, select the option to show system pages, which should be on the right side. Once all system pages are shown the dashboard page becomes visible. Click it and click permissions, than pick what groups are allowed to see it, so if you have a user group called contributors that you want to allow dashboard access than you would click the appropriate boxes to allow them dashboard access.

It should have select boxes for who can view this page. Consider view page as view dashboard controls.

You should be able to lock out individual pages which would then either remove or disable the features associated depending on version. I have never set independent permissions myself so I cant say for sure exactly how the UI will behave, but yes cutting off certain dashboard elements is possible by setting page permissions.

I’m not sure, but I think you need to switch to Advanced Permissions.

Then you can set permissions of some parts of the dashboard to groups or users. Log in as administrator, go to dashboard -> full sitemap, and switch the visibility of the system pages on.

Now open the tree called Dashboard. You can set the permissions for the whole dashboard, and the sub areas will have the same permissions. To show the dashboard, you have to assign the permission View to a group or user. Then you must delete this permission from the siblings which shall not be shown. And you can add permissions to some siblings.

Per example, scroll down to Dashboard -> Sitemap, switch Assign Permissions to Manually. Now you can set additional permissions for this area.

Please pardon my English, but I tried my best to explain this stuff clearly enough.
