Content Block Edit Images

Can anyone guide me how to edit images in content block. I have added images but when I try editing the images it just gives me an option to add link to that image. I need an option to directly edit that image in the block.

Thanks,
Mohammed

What exactly are you trying to edit on image? Because the image should already be "edited" before you bring it into Concrete5.

Hello Kurtopsy,

I am actually looking out to replace the image which has been added in the content block.

Thanks,
Mohammed

Click the image within the content block, hit delete, than click insert image button. You can upload a new file in the upper right corner if need be.

Looking at your screenshot, you could do the following:

1. Click on the page-looking icon for the "link" option. This will open the file manager.
2. Concrete includes a built-in image editor, so select the image you want to add, and choose "edit".
3. Once done editing, you should be able to choose to add it.

However, it looks like this will only link to the image, not actually display it. If you're using the main content block, the Redactor interface should have an image icon in which case you can click on the search icon to open the file manager (and from there edit the image).

I have added the image by providing the image location. When I try to replace the image i can't do it as it only allows to link the image to a file or a page.

You need to edit images in the file manager not inline

Can't I replace it directly in the content block?

The best you can do is just to delete it, modify it in the file manager, and then re-add it.
