So at one point it worked fine, and you built a page, than something happened, like someone altering something, and your site is now operating poorly. How is this the dashboards fault ?

no.. don't speculate.

i set up the site last summer, used the scrapbook to setup a lot of blocks, and now, there is NO WAY to add blocks, or copy, paste blocks into the site.

also, i can enter the scrapbook, make new blocks in it, design in it, and even test it (pix lead to outside urls just fine) but there is NO WAY to impose that information on the site any longer.

in both browsers, on both machines, when i enter the site, enter "edit" and try to edit parts, or add pictures it doesn't work...adn it has been changeed since the last time i used it..especially the scrapbook

Not speculating, I have answered several of the questions you asked in regards to changing aspects of your installation just last week, and to say you haven't done anything to your installation seems odd considering the above. I among others also have working live sites running many different versions, and I among others haven't had an issue. This post, and your other posts this afternoon seem to be just ripping on C5 when it really isn't the dashboard or c5's fault that your having problems.

well, its nothing personal, thanks for any advice, but i am frustrated, ..by the forum, its almost impossible to find my old posts from last summer...

its more like a blog, but not..i was just trying to change 1 image on my site, and its a mpita...

sure, i need more seat time,
sure, im not proficient, its my 1st site ever, and sure, lots of people know more then me, but as a regular user, i find this setup extremely frustrating...i will try to tone it down on posts, but im still not finding many answers after i search and search.

FYI, you can see all of your posts by going to your profile page. It will say "You have posted <# messages>, been awarded <# badges>, authored <# how-tos>..." where each of those items is a link to view them, respectively.

Or, for short, this link will get you to the same place:

jsut tried "stacks" and it seems to work, but fails misserably..

after i create an image, i get a sliver of a box for the stacks i built, and cannot see any image, just the very top (3pixels) line of the 1st image i setup.

its not intuitive

At the top of every post is a "Permalink" just drag it into your browsers favourites folder.
No need to search for posts...

if i did that, with everything, it would almost as obscure as it is now.(thousands of bookmarks)..i just save the domain or forum and start anew thread..but in every other forum its structure is easier to navigate. (for me).

btw, i would like to say,THANKS for all the help, or replies
it was the HOST, or rather, i had to create a ticket, for my provider to resolve ( .htaccess file(s) were allowing the upload to c5, but not reporting GET or something...either way, a big thanks to Ekko for his help with finding a root symptom.

i was just very frustrated with the time i spent just to add ONE image with a link to an outside url...

all apologies for ripping on c5.

can't really mark the thread as helpful, as i don't even know how it was fixed, or for how long (possibly since its creation).

since this thread isn't useful, is there a way i could delete it ?
