Disappearing draft pages

Good morning,
We are having some more strange random behavior in our C5.8 install. sometimes our draft pages disappear out of the drafts directory. The pages still exist (we can access them using the history of our browser, edit them and post), but the drafts directory will be blank.
If we clear our cache for some reason and do not write down the CID location that becomes lost.
Have any of you experienced this issue?

Is there any pattern for when the draft pages disappear?
Do these drafts disappear for all users? Are they visible for the superuser admin account?
Are you using the latest 8.2.1 release?
