Follow on from previous discussion 'error after update and restore

I have 2 websites. one is the main one and the other is a subdomain. I tried to upgrade from 5.7.5.13 to 8.1.5.1 manually by coping the concrete folder to the updates folder as specified in your help then doing the upgrade usinghttp://www.xxxxxx.org.au/index.php/ccm/system/upgrade.... I got the error
Invalid "update.core" defined. Please remove it from /home/tambopc/public_html/application/config/update.php. i didn't know what to do so I did a restore from the server restore through cpanel. My main site still gets this error 'Invalid "update.core" defined. Please remove it from /home/tambopc/public_html/application/config/update.php.' and my subdomain site gets this error 'Class \Concrete\Core\Permission\Key\CategoryTreeNodeKey does not exist'. Both websites do not work now. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Phil

Issue Solved. Websites up and running again after restoring from an earlier restore point. Will not be upgrading till I understand it more.
