Help! Uunable to acccess editing tools

I am new to this website and a novice at website management. I was trying to change the home page template, clicked blog, and the entire home page disappeared, leaving just the following words: Add To Blog Post Header

The front-end still looks as it did before I tried this. But on the backend, there are no links to click, no way to get back to the dashboard or editing functions. If anyone can help, I'd be eternally grateful!

the problem is I can't get to the sitemap or dashboard. The front end didn't change. The backend is stuck.
Go directly to your sitemap like this
http://www.yoursite.com/index.php/dashboard/sitemap/full...
http://www.yoursite.com/index.php/dashboard/sitemap/full...
That takes me to a commercial site asking to register domain name, build website, etc. Not my sitemap.
You need to replace the yoursite.com part with your own domain name

If not go to the sitemap in the dashboard. click on your home page and under versions, revert to the previous version and delete your current version.
